I’ve launched twenty sites since January 1st, 2015. Some of them were just adjusting pre-existing themes, so it’s not like I’m developing from scratch. Only three of them were totally from scratch. I’ve done them all alone, as far as design and development. Copy was generally done by someone else. Seventeen were from work, one is a non-profit (which actually has yet to launch, but is probably 90% done) I did in my spare time.
Here’s what I’ve got:
- Custom Underscores blog-styled theme for dating site messages
- Custom Underscores blog-styled theme for celebrity images
- Custom Underscores private site for authors
- Customized Themeforest theme for homes and realty (considerable amount of custom functionality)
- Custom Underscores private site for animal rescue
- Customized Divi theme for medspa
- Customized Genesis theme for surgeon
- Customized Underscores theme for surgeon (mobile-only)
- Customized Themeforest theme for club (1)
- Customized Themeforest theme for club (2)
- Customized Themeforest theme for magazine
- Customized Twentythirteen child theme for fishing excursions
- Customized Themeforest theme for restaurant (1)
- Customized Avada theme for dentist (1)
- Customized Avada theme for dentist (2)
- Customized Themeforest theme for restaurant (2)
- Customized Enfold theme for medspa
- Customized Enfold theme for e-commerce site
- Customized Themeforest theme for beauty products e-commerce site (1)
- Customized Themeforest theme for beauty products e-commerce site (2)
I’m happy about it! I think the number would be much lower if it was custom development for these sites, of course. It helps a lot that in many instances, I just needed to make minor theme alterations to something that mostly satisfied needs. But — every site has custom-written CSS. Most have at least some modification done, whether that’s the addition of shortcodes, custom post types, etc.
